Grant Sanderson is the creator of the YouTube math channel 3Blue1Brown and the author of the manim math animation library. His channel and "Summer of Math Exposition" contests have led to a an explosion of educational math on the web. |
| ANDREW HUANG | Andrew Huang is one of my favorite musicians. He's skilled in both electronic synthesizer music and found sound music. |
| Astrolog | Walter Pullen's website is all about mazes and astrology. He is the author of Daedalus, an extensive maze generating program with lots of extra features written in Java. |
| HTwins | Cary and Michael Huang are a powerhouse duo who have been making cool things on the internet since they were kids. They are the creators of the web series Battle for Dream Island, which became the basis for an entire fandom / community of animated shows. |
| It's Nicky Case! | Nicky Case is a canadian indie developer who makes cool games and tools. In fact, I've seen some of their work at my job! |
| Java on the Brain | Karl Hörnell's website is home to many Java applet games that he designed for various devices from 1996 to 2012. Most of them are still playable thanks to transpilers like CheerpJ. |

Jay Eaton is a comic artist and an excellent worldbuilder, especially in speculative biology. Their anatomical diagram / schematic of scud biotechnology lives in my mind rent-free. |
| LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER | Sam Battle is to electrical engineering what "mad scientists" are to science. He's built his own bespoke synthesizer format from scratch and used it to make music without the need of computers or DAWs. This guy made a musical instrument from furbies. |
| Music from Outer Space | Ray Wilson (1956-2016) was an influential person in the DIY synthesizer community. His website and book contain schematics for how to build your own synthesizers from scratch. |
| Owen Maitzen | Owen Maitzen (1997-2021) was an aspiring musician, coder, activist, and teacher. His first (and only) YouTube video is an excellent introduction to combinatorial game theory. |
| Wendy Carlos | Wendy Carlos is an electronic musician who was instrumental in the development of the famous Moog synthesizers. |
| menneske | Vegard Hanssen's website has lots of interesting online programs and puzzles -- my favorites are all of the Sudoku variants, including the huge 81x81 Sudoku grids. |
| patorjk | Patrick Gillespie's website has lots of neat tools, like keyboard layout analyzers, an online ASCII art text generator, and a snake game. |
| tom7 | Thomas Murphy, VII, PhD. is a researcher in ridiculous things like "derp learning", bad chess algorithms, and "NaN gates". He is a regular contributor to the SIGBOVIK conference. |
| umop | David Lovelace is a programmer and artist. He created a staggeringly large variant of rock-paper-scissors with 101 different symbols! |
| vihart | Vi Hart is one of the earliest math YouTubers; she is well-known for her math research, music, and outreach. |
